1. Remove personal belongings

3. Find valuable parts
If you have agreed to the car price of the junkyard, you should hand it over to them as described in the transaction. If you have expensive tires and have a lot of treads, you can buy four bald tires on a cheap rim and replace them with more valuable tires on the car. If the car's battery is almost new, its battery has a resale value, and even if it is out of date, the recycler will pay for it. If you are convenient, you can remove electronic equipment such as GPS or stereo systems if they are valuable.
4. Remove the license board
Unlike when you sell a car on Craigslist when you sell your car to a landfill, the picking arrangements are usually in a hurry. If your car is disabled and parked at a service station or trailer farm, you may not be able to schedule everyone to appear at the same time to complete your transaction. Time is the money for the trailer driver to get your car seat, so it's easy to overlook important details because everyone will be in a hurry. Make sure you remember to remove the license plate from the car before the trailer. In many states, you must return your license plate to the motor vehicle department before you cancel your registration, and you may not be able to cancel your vehicle insurance policy until the license plate and registration work is completed.
5. Run out of your petrol
If your car is still running before it is sold to the dump, you may need to run out of gasoline before you tow it away. Depending on the size of the tank in your car or truck, the value of the gasoline in the tank may represent a significant portion of the total value you get from the dump. If your car is not running, be careful if you are trying to draw gasoline from the tank. Use only approved containers to carry gasoline, rather than using an oral starter siphon. Don't worry about the gas value of the dump. Before recycling or scrapping parts, they must discharge all the liquid out of the car, and the gasoline in the tank is a nuisance for them.
